We decided to make some parts before completing the fuselage and closing the airplane, so that we could have easier access to the central part of the fuselage and have the possibility to work more easily. So we decided to make some parts now as the instrument panel.Sequoia has a very nice instrument panel and we followed the drawings and the concept. The sheet of aluminium is bent so that the lower part makes a U and you have a surface to mount the electrical connectors on the back.In this way the panel can be one piece, and since the falco is a wooden airplane there's also the possibility not to use elastic shock absorbers for gyro instruments.
First step was to draw axis on the sheet of aluminium and in this picture we are matching them with the axis of the frame. Then we outlined the shape of the frame in the aluminum.

Cutting of the sheet to the right shape.

The panel has the right shape but it has still to be bent.We made the center consolle following the original Laverda drawings(with the factory jigs). We installed the trim wheel and the nose gear retraction bay that we made with titanium. We have also started some antenna and electric cabling. There's still much to do, but at least it's starting to seem an airplane, and this really means a lot!
