I
had two plastic military-style control sticks, but at the moment of
the installation I decided to make them of wood. So I used a piece
of spruce and cut it.
Since
I didn't have a piece that was high enought, I glued on the two sides
other spruce. to make the top wider.
This work has been a real pleasure. I shaped carefully the spruce, and
made the pilot's control stick for my hand. My fingers fit perfectly...
Drilling
the hole in for the aluminium tube. I drew the alignement lines to
prevent mistakes.
Here
is the new control stick. It still needs to be painted, and I'm very
happy with it.I made another one for the passenger, on Davide's hand.
